TALK TITLE
Cutting Tension: De-escalation Skills for Arborists
ABSTRACT
In this session Brad will focus on Tactical Communications techniques to enhance peoples communication effectiveness across a range of relationships – both professional and personal.
While many people think of tactical communications as being all about ‘de-escalation techniques, CERT’s starting point for effective communications is ‘non-escalation techniques’.
As such you will learn some simple but effective ‘non-escalation techniques’ that increase the likelihood of a positive interaction in the first place, followed by a very effective technique for dealing with difficult people or behaviour (de-escalation).
