Trevor Gardiner has been in the Arboriculture industry for over 40 years and during that time has lived and worked as an arborist in England, Austria and New Zealand, including 16 years with Asplundh and 15 years with Thoughtplanters to date. He is a life member and former president of NZ Arbor (1994-95).

ABSTRACT
In an ever-evolving industry, like arboriculture the pursuit of a long and fulfilling career is both a challenge and an opportunity. This talk will explore a mix of strategy & serendipity across forty years of my working life. Key topics will include the importance of continuous learning and the value of networking in fostering professional growth. Additionally, I will touch on the psychological & physical aspects of playing the long game both good & bad, emphasizing the significance of work-life balance, and staying motivated.
